Sawaimadhopur: A few days ago, an incident of a tiger carrying away a child came to light, while the terror of tigers is increasing day by day in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve located in Sawaimadhopur, Rajasthan. Recently another tragic incident has come to light in which a tiger attacked forest ranger Shri Devendra Chaudhary posted on duty, causing his death. After this incident, a worrying incident of ever-increasing conflict between wildlife and humans in the area comes to the fore.
Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has expressed deep grief over this incident and has appealed to the Bhajanlal government to take immediate and effective action in this matter. In his tweet, Gehlot expressed his deep condolences to the family of Ranger Shri Devendra Chaudhary. He said that this incident is extremely sad and worrying.
Gehlot also expressed concern that this incident has come to light after another recent tragic incident in which a 7-year-old innocent child was killed by a tiger in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve on April 16. The child was passing by the forest with his grandmother when the tiger attacked him and dragged him into the forest, killing him. This incident has created an atmosphere of panic in the entire area.
Expressing concern over these incidents happening every day, former Chief Minister Gehlot has urged the state government to take cognizance of this serious situation and hold in-depth discussions on this subject in collaboration with forest department officials and wildlife experts. He has emphasized the need to take such steps which can prevent such unfortunate incidents in future and ensure the safety of both wildlife and local residents.
Such incidents in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, which is an important area for the tiger population, raise questions on wildlife management and human-wildlife conflict issues.
