New delhi : The world’s largest renewable energy plant is being set up by Adani Green Energy Limited in Khadwa, a village at the extreme end of Kutch in Gujarat, India. Its initial work has started and it is expected to be completed in the coming five years. Khadwa village is a village in the desert, where life cannot even be imagined, a village spread in a desolate desert, from where a plant with the capacity to produce 30 gigawatts of electricity is now being set up. The 30000 megawatt renewable energy plant will produce 26000 megawatts (26GW) of solar energy and 4000 megawatts (4GW) of wind energy.
The plant will produce 87.4 billion units of electricity annually, which will light up 1.74 crore homes.Spread over 538 square kilometers, this plant is bigger than 17 countries of the world. Which is said to be as big as Mumbai and about 5 times bigger than Paris. It was started in April 2023. 5000 MW work has been completed in two years. In the next 5 years i.e. by 2030, it will achieve its target of 30000 MW. After the completion of this plant, India is expected to reach a strong position in green energy
