In NABH hospital, there are different codes to define emergency which have a specific meaning and significance which is important for the team in that hospital to alert and provide immediate care, as well as help in preventing panic among other patients. These are the important codes

Code Blue.

Code Blue means that an incident of heart stoppage or cardio respiratory arrest has happened in any ward or block of the hospital. So it is an alert for the CPR team to reach there immediately.

Code Yellow.

Code Yellow means that some external disaster has happened and the team is alerted to treat mass casualties. In this, all the emergency departments and teams are ready to handle the casualty.

Code Red.

If there is an incident of fire in any ward or block of the hospital, then Code Red is announced, in which the fire fighter team gets alerted. And they reach that place and extinguish the fire.

Code Purple.
